Microsoft unveils Office 2010 RC version

Microsoft has rolled out the Release Candidate version of its Office 2010 productivity suite.
However, the RC version has been made available only to testers in Microsoft's Technology Adoption Programme (TAP).
"Microsoft made an RC available to members in TAP. This is one of Microsoft's planned milestones in the engineering process," the company said.
However, it revealed it had no plans to roll out the RC version to other users and the public are unlikely to see any other versions of the software before its launch, which is expected this June.
The free public beta version of Office 2010 was made available in November last year.
People who download the Office 2010 beta can try out the public preview of Office Web Apps, a web-based version of the productivity suite, by using a Windows Live account to create, edit, store and retrieve documents online.
"We remain on track to reach general availability this June, but don't have additional timing details to share at this point," Microsoft told a UK website.
