NTT Com expands cloud offering in Singapore

NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the information and communications (ICT) solutions and international communications business within the NTT Group, has introduced the Managed Microsoft Azure Stack Solution in Singapore. Marrying NTT Com’s expertise in managed services with Microsoft’s cloud technology, the Managed Microsoft Azure Stack Solution allows enterprises to keep pace with ever-changing business requirements, in an agile and secure cloud environment.

As organizations across Asia Pacific (APAC) advance on their digital transformation journeys, cloud environments are gaining traction as a viable, secure and cost-efficient model for delivering customer centric services. According to a recent report by 451 Research, 56% of organizations in the region are already planning for or have formed a formal strategy for hybrid cloud deployment. According to the report, the main drivers of hybrid cloud adoption in the region include improvements to the consistency of security policies and risk management, enhanced business agility and the better interoperation of applications or workloads.

The Managed Microsoft Azure Stack Solution empowers businesses with a more efficient platform for hybrid cloud migration and deployment, ensuring cost optimisation and compliance with specific regulatory requirements. The joint solution enables enterprises to run Azure-consistent services in NTT Com’s data centres, through secure private connectivity to Microsoft Azure Public Cloud. Businesses can also manage sensitive data using Azure services from their data centres to maintain compliance with the industry’s latest regulations, such as the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

“The expanded availability of the Managed Microsoft Azure Stack Solution in Singapore illustrates our commitment to addressing the technology needs of enterprises across the region,” said Kiyoshi Matsumoto, Director of Cloud and Managed Services, NTT Singapore Pte Ltd. “The business landscape has evolved with new regulations and advanced threats, making security and compliance more important than ever. Our partnership with Microsoft enables us to deliver a solution that provides data-critical businesses, such as financial services institutions and government organisations, with the capabilities to manage their sensitive information, while better supporting their business needs.”

NTT Com’s expertise in managed services, ICT infrastructure and security helps companies across the globe, such as Cath Kidston, fully integrate, customise and manage their complex hybrid IT ecosystems. The availability of the Managed Microsoft Azure Stack Solution in Singapore is an expansion of the launch with Microsoft in Hong Kong last year.

Alex Marin Gasga, Director Partner Development for Telco & Cloud, Microsoft Asia Pacific said, “we are seeing organizations in the Asia Pacific rapidly adopting innovative solutions to enable their digital transformation. The seamless integration between Azure and Azure Stack, in tandem with the NTT Com managed services capabilities, offers customers a smooth transition to the hybrid cloud, without compromising key business requirements, such as security, data residency and compliance.”
