Fortinet celebrated with wins in the Unified Threat Management and Firewall and Network Security categories.

The only other tie for the night saw Check Point and CyberArk both walking away as winners in the Secure Access Solutions category.
Victor Ng, South East Asia Bureau Chief for Network World Asia, said: “Organizations are increasingly under new security threats every day. With a security portfolio approach that drives significant immediate benefits for both the IT function and overall business, the 2014 NWA Information Management Awards judges have found that the suite of solutions from CA Technologies is well-designed to meet the new security challenges of enterprises today.”
Group Publisher Tan May Yee said, “Enterprise mobility, cloud computing, video, virtualization and analytics are putting unprecedented pressures on networks and data centers. The volume, velocity and variety of data traffic are straining network bandwidth, storage capacity, and uninterrupted availability of data center resources for business-critical applications. Meanwhile, networking and security technologies are converging. But solution providers have once again proven their understanding of industry needs and market demands. This annual Information Management Awards serves to recognize such regional industry leaders.”
This year, there was acknowledgement from the judges of new entrants into the space with a number of new categories, the “Most Promising”. These five categories were the Most Promising Security Solution, Most Promising Storage Management Solution, Most Promising Storage Innovation, Most Promising Data Protection Solution and the Most Promising Data Management Protection. The winners for these categories were FireEye, Nutanix, Fusion-IO, Imperva and Veeam respectively.
