City of Adelaide Attracts Visitors with Free Outdoor Wi-Fi

City of Adelaide Attracts Visitors with Free Outdoor Wi-Fi

The Adelaide City Council started offering free Wi-Fi in 2004, in more than 100 cafes and restaurants. Then the Council and Government of South Australia decided to team up to offer free outdoor Wi-Fi across the city. Of several proposals, the winner was a Cisco outdoor wireless solution from iiNet. More than 200 access points connect to a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller that iiNet uses for configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
